A. The total number of Landoll and Brillion repair parts that are shipped daily from the Parts Distribution Center (PDC) has grown tremendously. Trying to ship this higher volume of parts out of an already undersized facility has strained the entire parts system. However, a new state of the art Parts Distribution facility broke ground in the fall of 2013 in Marysville, Kansas. This new facility will afford improved parts order turn-a-round once it is up and running.
A. The Finisholl and Tilloll are still painted the original Landoll yellow because they are the only machines that have stood the test of time without having a major redesign since they were introduced.
A. Two shank options are available. The Spring Tension Shank with 26 ½” of underframe clearance and a 5/8” x 1 ¾” coil spring that provides 190 lbs. of point load is option number one. Option two is a 2-piece S-Tine Shank for use in rock-free soils. 190 lbs. of point load and the ability to accommodate any sweep with a 47-degree stem angle, the S-Tine provides an alternative if desired.
A. The 9600 uses a single point depth control at the front of the machine to set the depth.
A. Working widths range from 20’ 6” to 34’ 6” in the three section models and from 38’ 6” to 50’ 6” in the five section units.
A. The Finisholl is available from 11’ 4” to 35’ 4”. The Tilloll is available from 10’ 6” to 40’.
A. The rigid models are 10, 12, 15 and 20 ft. The folding models are 30 and 40 ft. Both series are available with 7.5” or 10” opener spacings.
A. The Ripoll can be equipped with 1.25” x 2.5” chisel style shanks that will accommodate a wide variety of chisel points. Set up in this mode, the 2211 Ripoll has the potential to perform as one of the industry’s finest disc-chisel-disc machines. Set it up with the 1.25” x 3” ripper shanks and adjust it accordingly, and it has now been transformed into a compaction/residue management machine. With just some minor adjustments and shank change outs, the 2211 Ripoll can do whatever you want it to do. The versatility is built in, not added on!
A. Both of these machines fit into the classification of one pass seedbed preparation tools. As much as they are the same, they also have their differences. The Finisholl has a few more options to offer so the operator can fine-tune its performance. The Tilloll has most of the options included and is able to be very versatile. Both fill niche markets. Both have years of experience to offer. Both are true Landoll.
A. The chopper reel is the only leveler available for the 2211 Ripoll. Equip it with the hydraulic control option and the fine-tuning opportunities of the 2211 Ripoll can be enhanced even further.
A. Two of the most popular sizes, the 2410-7-24 and the 2410-9-24 have been specifically designed with a narrow transport width of 14’ 6”. Both of these machines fold narrow and mechanically lock into the working position.
A. It is all about balance. The close coupled hitch/toolbar keeps the entire machine close to the tractor to allow unequalled control and less horsepower required. It keeps the machine in balance with the tractor.
A. Shank spacing on the 9600 Series is 6” on all sizes. The shank layout utilizes a “split the middle” pattern for ultimate seed bed preparation. The deep 135” fore/aft frame allows for maximum residue flow in almost all conditions.
A. Under most conditions, it will take between 8 and 10 HP per foot to pull the VT.
A. There are numerous differences. First off, the gang angle on the VT is 10 degrees front and rear. On the disc, the gang angle is 20 degrees front and 18 degrees rear. Next, the concavity of the blades on the VT is a shallow 1.5”, while on the disc the concavity is a standard 3”. The blade spacing on the VT is 7” while on the disc it is 8 ¾”. The front gang spools are solid cast iron on the VT and fabricated steel on the disc. The depth of operation for the VT is normally less than 4”. The disc can operate as deep as 6”. The speed of operation for the VT is between 7 and 9 MPH. The disc runs best in the 6 to 7 MPH range. The conditioning reels are standard on the VT. They need to be purchased as an option on the disc.
A. The WP1 is yet another player in the primary tillage line of tools available from Landoll. The WP1 incorporates the disc/disc/shank/leveler concept to provide excellent performance in heavy residue and hard soils. With its premier leveling characteristics, the WP1 has become a leader in laying the foundation for next season’s crops. Equally at home sizing and blending residue, while addressing compaction, the WP1 is as efficient as can be. Designed in sizes from 6 to 13 shanks in both rigid and folding models, there is a WP1 for just about every operation.
A. The “Staggered Offset” gangs cut out the middle and allow for a premium leveling job without additional shanks or other devices in the middle of the disc.
A. The Power Ditcher is a three-point mounted implement that will construct drainage or irrigation ditches at precision depths while casting the soils away from the edge of the ditch.
A. The 2511 In-Row Ripper is a primary tillage tool. It is designed on an in-line (straight) toolbar with deep tillage shanks capable of managing compaction while leaving the soil surface virtually undisturbed. There are optional shank assemblies and optional points and wear strips to customize the performance to meet the needs of the customer.
A. There is a 3-Bar Coil Tine Leveler for all models in the 6200 Series. There is also a Conditioner Reel available for the 6250 models.
A. Under most conditions, it will take between 8 and 10 HP per foot to pull the disc.
A. Yes. The rear hitch is equipped with a slide for easy hook ups and a rear hydraulic package for the towed implement.
A. Yes, the 10, 12 and 15 ft. rigid models can be equipped with a coulter cart.
A. Yes. The 9600 Series was introduced late in the 2011 season and first shown publically at the 2012 National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky. The 9600 Series replaces the 9800 Series that had been in the line for many years.

A. In most conditions, the 2211 Ripoll will require 30-40 HP per shank. Local soil conditions can alter this average requirement.
A. Landoll offers 4 models of Power Ditches for tractors from 50 HP to 150 HP. 540 and 1000 RPM PTO drives are available.
A. It has been a welcome addition for Landoll. The key product lines from Brillion: Seeders, Pulvi-Mulchers and Pulverizers have filled in the Landoll line very well. The additional production load of the Brillion machines keeps the state of the art facility running very efficiently and at or near capacity.
A. Normal depth of operation would be about 1 to 2 inches below the hardpan/compaction layer. That can be found with the use of a probe or by digging a root pit in the field to examine the profile of the soil.
A. Basically, that is correct. However, the 2100 Series takes disc chiseling to the next level. The built-in ability to handle high amounts of residue at efficient speeds of operation set the 2100 Series Coulter Chisel ahead of its competition. A wide range of sizes from 7 to 25 shanks makes this series a perfect fit for a large group of producers of all sizes.
A. No. Landoll offers all smooth or plain blades in 6 ga., ¼” or 5/16” thickness and in 22″, 24″ or 26″ diameter.
A. Yes. The hydraulic control can be ordered from the factory or it can be field installed on current models.
A. No. The decision to install a leveling device on your 2100 depends upon your expectation of what you want the finished field to look like. The 2100 Coulter Chisel can be equipped with a 16” diameter chopper reel to finish the blending process and smooth the ridge crowns. It can also be set up with a heavy-duty 3-bar coil tine harrow to help to fill in some of the valleys and better distribute the residue.
A. Yes. The rear tow hitch will work with the 4-Row Coil Tine Harrow, the 3-Row Coil Tine and Reel, the 5-Bar Spike Tooth Harrow and the 3-Bar Spike and Reel attachments.
A. Yes. A small seeds attachment is available for all Landoll Drills. The seed meter for the small grass attachment is the same as on the Brillion Sure Stand Seeder.
A. No, all repair parts should be purchased through your local Landoll dealer. If your dealer does not have the item you are looking for in their stock, the part can be ordered for you. A. Yes. All models of the Landoll drill line-up are capable of planting conventional, min-till, and no-till. Landoll Drills all use a pneumatic down pressure system that allows the force on the openers to be adjusted from 120 psi to 400 psi.
A. Yes. The hydraulic control can be ordered with the machine or it may be field installed on an existing unit. This option will give you fingertip control to regulate the position of the chopper reel.
A. Yes. You have a choice of three leveling attachments for the WP1: a Combo Tine/Chopper Reel, a Heavy-Duty 3-Bar Coil Tine Harrow, or a 16” Chopper Reel. Once again, it is about expectations.
A. Yes. The trunnion mount bearings are triple lip sealed and greaseable. The grease zirk faces the back of the gang for easy access.
A. Depending upon the depth of operation, soil density, soil moisture, etc., the 2511 In-Row Ripper can require up to 40 HP per shank.
