2700 Series VERTISTRIP – StripTill

Poor residue management is costly, and problems like poor emergence due to hair pinned residue is avoidable with the Trailblazer^TM row cleaners on the 2700 Series VertiSTRIP.  The Trailblazer row cleaners are built to handle the roughest conditions.  The finger tooth residue managers and depth wheels are mounted on dual sealed bearings that require zero daily maintenance or greasing.  The pneumatic Trailblazer row cleaners automatically adjust field to field, keeping you in the cab and covering more acres.

Triple-lip sealed bearings in the massive parallel arms are made to handle the toughest environments.  With the addition of the pneumatic, cab-adjustable down pressure system, making in field adjustments on the go is simple and keeps the unit dialed in for maximum performance.  Independent depth wheels on each row follow the ground surface effortlessly no matter the terrain, allowing nutrients to be placed where they belong.

Whether running the knife with the FlexBerm^TM Conditioning System to break up compaction and build ideal berms, or the dual coulter set-up for high-speed tillage and strip freshening, the VertiSTRIP creates a uniform seedbed that eliminates variability.

Engineered to break up compaction and deep-banded nutrients, the mole knife option features the FlexBerm Conditioning System for quick, wrench-free angle and depth adjustments.  The mole knife provides maximum lift and soil fracture while delivering precise dry, liquid, or NH₃ fertilizer placement.  The FlexBerm system utilizes 18” blades that quickly adjust from 2 to 18 degrees and can be set to float-on or dig-in to create the perfect berm in changing field conditions.  Support arms are mounted to the outside of the coulters so soil can move freely for better mixing, blending, and a cleaner finish in every strip.

The coulter option handles spring and fall strip-till, plus strip freshening before planting.  With up to 6” of deep tillage, dry incorporation, and precision liquid injection, this option delivers high-speed performance in tough conditions.  With a coulter spacing of 3 ½”, the unique coulter layout vertically tills the full seed zone profile creating the ideal seedbed to plant into while minimizing horizontal layers for better root growth and water infiltration.

Want both options?  No problem, just let your dealer know.  Because of the simplistic design of the VertiSTRIP, you can easily switch out the mole knife with FlexBerm system to the coulter option as needed to get the best of both worlds.

Creating a clod free, uniform seedbed finish is essential for high-speed planting and uniform emergence.  The finishing reel is adjustable on the fly from the tractor cab to easily adjust to varying soil types and field conditions.  The 16” flat blade reels are engineered with an open center to reduce plugging in wet conditions and to keep you stripping.

With dual 7” x 7” frame members, deep hinges and massive hinge pins, the VertiSTRIP frame is built to handle the rigors of strip-till.  The vertical fold system allows for in-field flexibility and reduced transport widths when heading down the road.
